I've had hair on the brain lately (well technically I guess it's on my head, but you know what I mean). I'm so glad that my hair is finally starting to get somewhat long. Don't ever take your ponytails for granted, y'all...seriously! I've been growing my hair out for over a year, and I don't plan on cutting it short again any time soon. Growing it out is hard work! Take a look at some of the styles that have been inspiring me lately.
I want to start trying out new styles, since I have some length to work with. I just started getting somewhat comfortable with curling my hair, so I think it's time to graduate to the next level...yep that's right. Top knots & french braids :) I know it's gonna take a lot of practice (and patience...yikes), but I'm determined!
Do you have a must-see hair tutorial that I should watch?

I have total long hair envy! I cut my hair over a year ago and everyone tells me it looks better short so I keep it relatively short. I miss the versatility of long hair! Braids are my FAVORITE. You've totally inspired me girl. I'm gonna step up my hair game and start experimenting more. Can't wait to see some of your new styles!!
ReplyDeleteI love all of these styles!
ReplyDeleteI totally suck at doing my own hair! But these photos make me wish I didn't :)

I just figured out how to french braid my hair - it's a game changer, I swear. Gym to work? French braid. Easy.
ReplyDeleteThe sock bun with the braid underneath the bun is so hard! I've tried it because I absolutely love it but my braid comes out looking like a blob haha.
ReplyDeleteI love all these styles, you'll get more used to styling long hair after a while, it's fun! =)
I love all of these styles. Your hair is currently the perfect length to do the front french braid (almost like a headband) it takes a lot of time and patience but I bet if you spend an afternoon this weekend just playing around with your hair, you'll get lots of practice in! :)
ReplyDeleteI am dying for my hair to be longer again - these pictures are a good push to be patient for it :)
Ah! Love ALL those hair pictures. Why can't we all just have gorgeous hair like that??
ReplyDeleteI think you've mentioned before that you've been using Biotin to help your hair grow, but I also just started using this conditioning shampoo called Wen. Have you heard of it yet? I learned about it from a few other bloggers. It's kind of a weird concept, but it's basically just a deep conditioner (at least that's what it feels like) and it cleans and conditions your hair (so it replaces your shampoo and conditioner). I've only used it 3 times so far and I can tell you my hair is ridiculously healthy now. After 3 washes! Anyway, long story short...it's supposed to help your hair grow faster too since your hair is healthy. Thought you might want to give it a try!
Hope you're having a great week!! :)
I love that upside down braid/top knot. Too bad I'll never be able to do it myself lol.

I am seriously considering getting clip in extensions so i can accurately recreate some of this because my THIN MOP despite being kinda long can NOT hold all that very cute jazz up above!

I've been wanting to do fun things with my hair too! I'm so boring and I'm getting sick of doing the same things. Now I just need time to play with my hair. :)
ReplyDeleteIf only my hair was a bit thinner or finer... Grass is always greener, right? ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited for your long-ish hair now! And I've got to tell you -- you can't go wrong with a French braid in any way.
AH!
ReplyDeleteYou did not just sneak me in there!
LOVE YOU!
