Day 2...3...4 (yikes) Hair!

One thing that I dread about getting ready in the morning...washing, drying & styling my hair. I feel like it just takes SO much time. The fact that I know that I'm just going to get all sweaty once I hit the gym later that day, just makes me loathe spending so much time on my hair. You feel me?

That being said, I've been on the hunt for some quality dry shampoo that doesn't cause my bank account to go into the negatives. After trying many brands and being left oily or powdery headed, I have FINALLY found one worth using. Actually...I even use it on my clean hair to boost my volume!

Seriously, people, this stuff is all kinds of wonderful. And guess how much it costs?
UNDER FIVE DOLLARS.
Yeah, I typed that in all caps so that you didn't think that you misread it.

Some things I love about it:

- The price, obviously
- It sprays easily and doesn't leave a nasty residue behind in my hair
- It actually absorbs the grease/oil from my scalp rather than adding more gunk to it
- It doesn't smell half bad

I chose to buy the keratin infused even though I have straight hair. I read a ton of reviews that claimed that the keratin helped tame fly aways and frizz. And with the Florida humidity, I need as much frizz fighting help as I can possibly get.

So get your cute little self to Target and pick up a bottle. Then thank me when you get to sleep in an extra 30 minutes, because you don't have to wake up and restyle your hair from scratch ;)
................................

And now on to the second part of this post. Since I was talking about a hair product today, this seemed like a good time to ask for your help. As some of you know, I've been growing my hair out since last August. I used to have SHORT hair...like buzzed in the back short. I thought it made me look edgy...yeah, I don't want to talk about it...ha!

See? Excuse the fact that I'm stuffing my face in this picture...ha! It's the only one I could find that really showed the cut. This was Easter 2011.

Anyway, since I haven't cut my hair in almost 9 months, I haven't bothered to go get it dyed either. Well I need a change! But I'm having some trouble deciding on a look. That's where YOU beautiful people come in :)

I'm going to post 6 pictures of colors that I'm considering. Leave a comment telling me which number you think will look best on me! Remember...this is for the hair color, not necessarily the style.

And just so you know, this is what my hair color currently looks like:

On to the choices!

1 // 2 // 3 // 4 // 5 // 6

So which do you think would look best on me?! I have semi-fair skin, but not as fair as Emma Stone's. I have blue eyes and my natural hair color is like a dirty blonde/light brown.

I can't wait to see what you guys think :)

  6. wow you must live inside my head!!! I was thinking about doing a "toll" post on hair dye too!! I wanna change for the wedding and the summer!

Anyhoots... my vote is for color #2. Love the bright red and think it would look flattering on you since you're already in the reds... I just think lightening or brightening the color would be hot for the summer!!

  8. 5!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They'd all look gorgeous on you though. But 5!!

You did not buzz your hair in the back.

Do we need to have a talk? ;)

I use the tresemme dry shampoo right now and it makes my hair feel really grimy like an hour after. I am definitely trying this!!!

  10. Can't wait to try this dry shampoo! I have one I like but it's not one that my bank account likes ;)

#1 for sure! Omg I love it! And if I had to pick a second favorite I'd pick #3

  11. I think if we ever met, we would be best friends. I can't stand the routine of getting ready either - it takes way too long. So I recently discovered dry shampoo as well and I L-O-V-E it!! I use the Tressemme kind and it works really good for my hair, but I'll have to try the Suave kind now cause it sounds awesome! And ironically enough, I am dying my hair at this exact moment! Well...my husband is, but same thing. :) I'm all about the dark, so I would pick #5, but I also adore the auburn/mahogany tint as well, so #3 is a favorite too. Good luck! I can't wait to see what you pick :)

  12. I feel like you should go lighter rather than darker for the summer - but just a thought! So that being said - I like number 1! Can't wait to see what YOU choose :)

  13. I think that since it's summer I really like #4..I think that #1 is kinda similar to your hair color now and it wouldn't really be a drastic change..

  14. #1 is nice and summery!! I think it will make you look more tan too!
    Great post today!!

  15. I love Suave dry shampoo and use it on freshly washed hair as well :)

Also, #1. I almost took that same picture to my stylist.

  16. #2, But I am partial to redheads :)

  17. I'm a big fan of 3. Not sure if it's all because I love the hair color - part of it might be because I love Rachel McAdams. :)

  18. #1 for summer...#5 or #6 for fall and winter. And thank you for the dry shampoo tip. I needed one...now!!!! I have dark hair too so am glad to get a referral from someone who isn't blonde. Some of the brands I tried left a powdery look. Not good!

  19. #2 because it's a bold choice!! I LOVE red hair! Also, I really like #4...it would be perfect summer (If you get the dark browns they wont last very long under the sun, they will fade!)

  20. I think #4 or #6! With maybe some highlights :) And I'm definitely trying this dry shampoo!! Thanks girl!

  21. OK, I can't wait to try this dry shampoo! I hate taking the time to do my hair when I know I'm going to sweat in it. Can't wait to try this one! Oh, love the colors you picked. I tend to go with the last two - the darker brown. you could do darker with some some caramel highlights. Anything you do will be so cute though!

  22. I think you are too tan for the red lol
For right now I'd choose 4. And then in sept go for 3 :-)

  23. #2! I went red last year (from brunette) and LOVE it. I think everyone should give red hair a shot at least once :)

    ReplyDelete
  24. I definitely like #5! I think it would be a great contrast with your blue eyes and it's something different than what you naturally have. You'll have to share cut and color pics after you go in to have it done.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I like # 3 and 5 for you. I think either of those colors would make your blue eyes pop!

  26. Hi,

I am a pretty new follower to your blog but I love it!!

Question about the dry shampoo becuase I have been wanting to try it and you may or may not know this, but how do you think it would work on very fine hair? I am afraid it would make it look limp and more greasy. Would you recommned this brand on fine hair?

To answer your question I think you should go with color #1. Super cute!

  27. 3 or 6 are my votes although you'll look fab with any of them!! Maybe I am partial to 6 because it's Rachel McAdams ;) btw- you made me take the plunge and go out and by this. I had read before that a couple people loved Suave's dry shampoo and it works wonders compared to what I have used (I had the same problem with others as you did!) Hope you have a great day!! Love you!

  28. I vote one or six! :)) your going to look gorgeous whichever one you choose.

  29. Hi Jessica! I really love 3 or 5! I think both would look stunning on you!

  30. Just used this Suave dry shampoo this morning! Smells so much better than some other's I've tried.

I vote #5 for colder weather and #6 for now!

  31. I'm definitely liking number 1. I mean it is going to be summer and all. That way if you don't like it, you can go darker in the fall!

    ReplyDelete
  32. I definitely like 6 the best, although 1 could work too. Hope you're having a good week!

    ReplyDelete
  33. I vote for number 1! So, do you use the dry shampoo after you workout or just the morning after when getting ready? I feel the same way about my hair knowing I will get all sweaty when I work out and dread the whole process!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Ok, I definitely need to get that dry shampoo. The ones I've tried were too oily and gave me major flat head.

I love your hair the way it is now! I definitely vote for the reds, but as someone who had that done a couple months ago…it's so high maintenance. I take hot showers and blow dry my hair and it faded within a few weeks. But, if you're ok with the up-keep I say go for it. :)

  35. 6! I was going to do a post about that dry shampoo on Thursday! Ha! I can literally let my hair go three full days without washing. I curl it on the second day and wear a curly pony the third day.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I definitely think 1 would be a great choice! It would suit you for sure. If you want to go a bit on the darker side I would do 3, but definitely stay in the reddish tones family! Very pretty!

    ReplyDelete
  37. 1! 1! 1! 1! 1!

I can't say it enough! I saw your pin on Pinterest yesterday and fell in love! I think it would look great on you, without being too dramatic of a change! :)

  38. #6 and #1 are my favorites. I think you can pull off any of those though, just play eeny meany miney moe, lol.

  41. #1. I think #1 would look awesome on you. It is a great color, plus it is a little lighter for the summer.
