My New Baby

No not an actual child. My new baby is my brand new fitness business :) I've been devoting the majority of my spare time to planning and preparing to get this thing off the ground. I couldn't have done it without the help/support of my friends & family.

So I'm gonna let them help me introduce everything to y'all! I had each of them make a letter that is a part of the business name so that when they're all together it spells out the name (thanks for being a genius, Meg).

G: You might recognize this as my blog bestie, Meg. That's her boyfriend, Reese, standing with her (don't be taken aback by the look of excitement on his face ;)). Meg has been helping me since the start of this journey. From back when it was just a little thought in my head. I would text her and bounce ideas off of her. I thrive off of her creative mojo. Seriously. One thing that I really needed help with was coming up with the name. WELL Reese decided to chime and with a little bit of genius and the name was born. Keep reading to find out what it is!

L: My grandparents have been there for me in so many ways. They've been there since, well forever technically. But seriously they have had my back from the start. I take after my Granddad with my entrepreneur mindset so he's been very excited to watch my ideas come to life. Especially after seeing me try to figure out what I want to do with my life for a few years. They have helped me financially, spiritually, emotionally...in any way that they can help me, they do. They bend over backwards for me, and they'll never know how grateful I am for them. Toy (my Grandma) even took a Pilates class with me...that's right, my 69 year old Grandma did Pilates with me...what's your excuse again?

I: Adam has been a trooper through all of this. Planning this business has (and will) taken up a lot of my time and energy. He's offered to help in any way that he can and I appreciate it so much. I'm also not a very patient person so it's been really hard for me to wait for the pieces of this project of mine to come together. He's helped me to remember that I can only tackle one thing at a time and that it will all come together in time.

S: My Mom & Daddy have also been supporting me from the beginning of this journey. They've seen me change my mind over 15 times as far as what I want to do career wise. I know it's got to be a relief for them to see me finally finding what I'm passionate about and running with it. They have offered financial support for me that I will always be grateful for. My Dad is actually 1% owner of the LLC since Florida doesn't allow just 1 person to own an LLC. Thanks for being a "silent partner," Dad ;) And thanks for making a rockstar letter, Mom!

T: My Baby Brother (I've always called him that even though he's way taller than me...hey, I'm still his older sister) has offered to give me free business advice. He's a finance major (and a damn smart one I might add) so to have him on board with this is awesome. We don't always see eye to eye on things, so for him to tell me that he thinks my idea is really going to explode and succeed means the world to me.

E: My cousin is one of my best friends. She's encouraged me and pushed me throughout this whole process. She's good about keeping me in line and making sure that I stay focused. She's also good at letting me come crash at her house when I need a night to clear my head and get away from the computer. I'll be going to her to steal some creative ideas for marketing & advertising.

N: And last but not least is Crissy. Crissy is my workout buddy (and hello I'm so freaking excited because she just moved back to Florida) and has played a really big role in helping me find my passion for health/fitness. We constantly talk about our new favorite workouts and even text each other at 6AM sometimes to make sure the other woke up to do our early morning workouts. She's incredible and I don't think she knows how much she means to me.

So what do all those letters spell?

GLISTEN!

My Dad & I met with a lawyer on Wednesday and took care of all the LLC stuff. So I am officially the owner-operater of Glisten Fit, LLC. Can y'all believe it?! I can't! God is so faithful, and I am so thankful. I cry just about every time that I take time to sit down and reflect on where I've ended up. My heart is bursting with joy and I can't wait to see where Glisten takes me :) To say I'm blessed is an understatement.

I've been working my butt off and eating clean lately in order to ready myself to be able to help y'all reach your best. I want to be my best with you! I have to say...DREAM BIG. If you want it, work for it. No dream is too big for you.

I even made a little tank to wear on Wednesday so that I had a fun way to show y'all the name. If you follow me on Instagram I'm sure you saw it. Once my website is up and running, I'll eventually have a shop where I'll be selling workout tanks, water bottles, gym bags, and any other cute gear that you guys want to see!

So, what exactly am I going to be doing?

Well I'm going to put a lot of my focus on online training. I want to work with YOU!
So the hub of my business will be my brand new website...I'm in the process of working with a designer so it's not finished yet, but I'll let y'all know when it is :)

I'll be posting (similar to how I post on this blog) Monday-Friday, with each day having a specific theme that is related to health/fitness. I'll even be releasing workout videos via YouTube (not gonna lie, I'm a little nervous about this). I want my website to be a place where you can come to learn about health & fitness in a fun way. I want you to get correct information and be able to apply it to your lifestyle. I want it to be a community where you can meet other women who are striving to lead a healthy lifestyle.

Along with blog posts, I'll be offering one-on-one training options. These will be done via Skype. I'll also have other personalized options available, if you're uncomfortable meeting up on Skype. I'm not gonna go into detail of all my services here, I'll save that for when my website launches. But just know that I have a ton of great stuff in store for y'all :) I promise! We can train together no matter where you are!

If you're local, I'm also willing to meet up for one-on-one training. And I'm planning on teaching a group fitness class (like Bootcamp or Pilates) a few times a week, too.

Don't worry...I'll make sure to keep you guys posted on everything! It's a lot of work and I'm trying my best to get everything going as quickly as I can.

I have to say THANK YOU times a million for the support that y'all have shown me through Instagram, Twitter, FB, etc. You are my motivation, and I can't help but get extremely excited to know that you are excited with me :) I hope that you'll stick around and watch Glisten grow with me!
