Smell the Roses!

Hello lovelies :)
I try to keep to one post per day, but I really wanted to explain more about the "Smell the Roses" widget on my sidebar.

SO, here's what's going down...
Every week (on Mondays) I am going to update the widget with a new task. The purpose of these are for you to...stop and smell the roses! The tasks will be things that don't take a lot of time or effort, but will give you enough time to slow down and appreciate the lovely little things [sorry, I had to do it ;)] and people your in life.

Part of this blog's purpose is to appreciate every day life, both from my own viewpoint and from the viewpoint of others. I feel like these tasks will give us all a chance to slow down, step back, and take the focus off of our busy-bee schedules (because I know we all can relate to having those) and instead, concentrate on appreciating the simple, every day things/people that are often overshadowed by the day to day responsibilities that we're committed to conquering.

If you're interested in smelling the roses with me, grab a button! Once you've done the task that week,  link up and tell me how your roses smelled this week ;) I think this will be a good way to escape from the business of every day life :)

What do you think?!
I know I keep changing a lot of things, but that's expected with a new blog...I hope :) I think I've almost got it where I want it, though. Thanks for bearing with me. You guys are awesome. Every last one of you & I am so happy to have you as a reader!

This week's task:
Hand write a letter to someone you love, and mail it via snail mail.

Don't forget to grab a button and link up, letting me know how your roses smelled this week ;)
Please link to a specific post that relates to your completion of the Smell the Roses task of the week. The whole post doesn't necessarily have to be dedicated to the task, it just needs to be mentioned :)

  3. I LOVE writing letters, I'm an hour and 1/2 away from my family and boyfriend when I'm away at school and I try to write a few letters a month, such a beautiful thing that often gets forgotten!
