Beach Hair in Mid-Winter?!

For all of you who are in school - I hope you survived the first day of classes! I'm trying not to think about the daunting work load that is hanging over my head for the next 15 weeks :)

Anyway, today the product that is in the spotlight is....
Bumble and Bumbles' Surf Spray!

I seriously love this stuff! I bought it for $23 at Sephora, because my best friend talked me into it. She said it made my hair look piece-y, which is the look that I'm usually going for [what can I say, I like to live on the edge ;)]

It's a pretty small bottle for $23, not gonna lie, but a little bit goes a long way, people! Beware, the first time I used it, I dowsed my head and man... don't ever do that! My hair was crunchy and not cute. So I tried again. And now I'm hooked! I love the fact that it makes my hair style-able (new word?), but still touchable and not heavy/sticky.

Plus, it's like magic in a bottle. My hair always looks its best after a weekend spent at the beach. But I always get home from the beach and immediately want to wash the sand out of my scalp! What a waste of a good hair day, right? Well with this stuff - you can get beachy looking hair without the sandy scalp to go with it.  My hair is finally getting long enough to curl (YAY!) and this spray makes the curls look less Shirley Temple and more Lauren Conrad - you feel me? ;)

When I use it, I usually style my hair normally - whether that be straightening it or curling it - and then when I'm done, before I spray on my hairspray I spritz this stuff on. When I say spritz, I mean it. I have short hair (working on growing it out) and use 4-5 small squirts throughout my hair.

Sometimes if I'm in a hurry, and I don't have time to do my full hair routine, I towel dry my hair and spray this stuff on, do a little scrunch with my hand, and blow dry my roots (letting the ends air dry) and that works, too!

I even use it when my hair is curled from the day before and I don't feel like redoing my hair the next morning. I just touch up my curls and spray! It's a less finished looking style, but still doable.

But honestly, if you want some luscious (okay, my hair is a little thin to be considered luscious) beach waves in mid January - get yourself over to Sephora and pick up a bottle of this stuff! You won't be sorry!

If you look at my new button (the one where my arms are crossed) you can see this product in action. I'll be doing an outfit post later next week, and you'll be able to se the picture a little better :)

We're huge Bumble & Bumble fans! Jayme, my blogging partner in crime, has used the Surf Spray, but I haven't yet. I need to get on that train. :P

Oh and by the way, I couldn't help noticing your polish pick of Essie Tart Deco...only my fave polish under the sun!! Great taste.
