Anyway, today I want to give you the scoop about our venue! YES...we already have our venue picked out...eeek!
Things that have already been checked off the wedding to-do list:
- My dress & shoes have been purchased (omg that's another post in itself)
- The date has been set: April 18, 2014
- The venue has been selected...and HELLO this venue is all inclusive. Talk about headache reduction!
- Photographers have been booked
- The guest list has been finalized (I was worried about this one...it wasn't too bad)
I know it doesn't look like that much, but we've been engaged for less than two weeks! The type-A in me is LOVING all of this!
On to our venue...
All photos can be found on the Cross Creek Ranch website here.
How gorgeous is this place?! And the cherry on top...it's about FIVE minutes from where I'm living right now!
It's called Cross Creek Ranch and it's located in Dover, Florida. We are going for a country/rustic theme and CCR is the perfect fit for our vision. It's a bit pricy, but like I said before, it's all inclusive (caterer, DJ, cake, flowers, planner, designer, and coordinator are all included) so totally worth the price if you ask me.
We're shooting to invite around 160-175 people. The ceremony will be under the big oak tree that you see in the bottom center photo. I plan on having doors set up though so Adam can't see me until I'm walking down the aisle toward him (tearing up just thinking about it!). Kinda like this:
The reception (aka PARTY) will be taking place in the stable (you can see that in the other photos in the collage above). Next to the stable there is an area for corn hole, horseshoes, AND a bonfire. BE STILL MY HEART. Told y'all this place is perfect.
Oh and one last thing for today...this is the color scheme that we are using for inspiration:
I am bubbling with joy! And I'm so glad that I have a place to share all of our excitement. Thanks for all the sweet congrats...y'all are seriously the best! I can't wait to marry my best friend...178 days to go!

This all looks and sounds perfect!!! I can't wait to see the rest unfold & see pictures in April!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt looks great! I can't wait to see more! :) I'm so impressed by your Type-A skills!
ReplyDeleteSo exciting! I love all of this!
ReplyDeleteYou definitely have a TON done--and good on you--I've been engaged since the end of May, and my wedding is April 12--I have NO idea how you did all of this in just 2 weeks haha
ReplyDeleteI am already head over heels in love with your wedding. The venue is AMAZING and SO SO you!
ReplyDeleteGet all the stuff out of the way now, and you'll have months to relax before it all starts up again. You will get it all handled now, and then probably 2-3 weeks before the big day you'll be up and running again!!!
TELL US MORE - I don't mind :)
OH.MY.GOSH. Gorrrrgeeeeeeousss!!!!
ReplyDeleteSo gorgeous! That's exactly the kind of venue I wanted, but those are surprisingly hard to find in central California, and when we did find them, they were waaaaay out of our price range. I'm excited to see your photos and live vicariously through your wedding! ;)
ReplyDeleteAlso, I've been engaged for about five months and we just picked the venue and date last week. So good job! Haha.
178 for you and 248 for me :) It's a wonderful thing to cross items off your to-do list, isn't it? Take your time and enjoy every minute!
ReplyDeleteCongrats girl! Its gonna be beautiful!
