Pitch Perfect Review

I kept hearing people go on & on about the movie Pitch Perfect. I'm not really a movie watcher, but I seriously had three people in one day tell me to watch it...SO last night, my bestie came over and we rented it. We also worked out and drank wine...it was glorious.

First of all let me say...Fat Amy made this movie. She was hilarious. Horizontal running...YES. But moving along. I would give this movie 4/5 stars. I'm usually not into comedies. I don't think they're funny for some reason. But this movie definitely had me laughing out loud on more than one occasion.

I loved the diversity of the actors. I recognized Anna Kendrick from Twilight right away. So naturally I loved her ;) But honestly...she did an awesome job at playing her role. Like I said, this movie had me laughing without being extremely raunchy. I would definitely recommend it :) Parts of it reminded me so much of the semester that I was involved in a sorority and that had me cracking up.

Have you seen it? What did you think?

  1. I loved Pitch Perfect. I laughed so hard at a lot of parts. And Anna Kendrick is awesome. I never saw any of the Twilight movies, but I recognized her from 50/50 and she was great in that, also.

  3. I loved Pitch Perfect. Being in Australia we have to wait a little longer for movies; but as soon as it was out I saw it. There was just so much to love about the movie and Rebel is just amazingly hilarious! <3

  11. I watched it the other night and I thought it was just OK. It was funny and the singing was great but in the end I guess I was hoping it would be more raunchy. Yes, I'm that girl. My apologies but I really thought with how hilarious everyone kept saying Fat Amy was... I thought she was going to push the envelope, sort of like Bridesmaids did.

In the end it was a feel good movie, with great tunes and I enjoyed it - however it was a bit too much like Glee and after one season of that show I couldn't hack it.

(I'd lie if I said I didn't want the soundtrack to this though)... LOVED THAT!

  19. i LOVED this movie! Fat Amy made it, you are right! I need to watch it again, because since it was filmed at LSU, all I could think about was "there's my dorm room, there's the library, etc." Lost focus, HA. It was good though :)

  20. Pitch Perfect is one of my favorite movies of 2012. They sang many catchy songs; some of my favorites were during the Riff Off. I’m glad my DISH coworker suggested that I see it, because I loved it. I added Pitch Perfect to my queue on Blockbuster @Home from DISH, and was able to see it so much earlier than if I waited for to even become an option at Redbox.

  23. It's the kind of silly you can only get away with when your writing is very smart. A little bit odd and very, very funny.
