Silver Linings Playbook

Last night Adam & I went to see the movie Silver Linings Playbook. After seeing the trailer a few
times I wanted to see it. He wasn't too stoked about going to see it but it turns out that he liked it more than I did! I actually fell asleep during the movie...probably because it didn't end until after midnight, and I worked all weekend. Can we say GRANDMA?

It was a weird movie. Not what I expected. A bit more "artsy" than something I would normally think Bradley Cooper would play in. But knowing that Katniss (hello Hunger Games fans!) was in it was enough to sell me. She was phenomenal at her role!

And although I fell asleep in the middle of the movie, the end had my attention. I would watch it again. I loved the chemistry between Bradley Cooper & Jennifer Lawrence.

I'd give this movie 6.5 out of 10 stars. Props for it actually not being like every other movie out there.

  2. There is a book, right? I think I saw it on someone's blog recently...It looked interesting, but I hadn't heard of it and didn't even know there was a movie! lol...

So, you may be a Grandma for falling asleep at the movies and I am a Grandma for knowing NOTHING about what's new and exciting in our world.

  6. I felt the same way that you did--weird, not what I expected, but I still liked parts of it. Just wasn't at all what I thought it would be.

  7. I saw it and really liked it. I think it was a little more intense then I was expecting, especially in the scenes with his parents (Yikes) but I did love the ending! And I think Bradley Cooper did a phenom job as a cray cray!

    :) Have a great Tuesday!

  9. Mine and Mr. TBS' taste is super indie, so I think we'll love it! I can't wait to see BC and JL. There is so much Oscar buzz around both of them!

    Wake up, Grandma! ;)

  11. I'm dying to see it, but it's taking its sweet time getting to my neck of the woods. I'm hoping with all of the Oscar buzz it's getting, the smaller movie theater will pick it up soon!

  12. I really really liked the movie! I saw it with my boyfriend this past weekend too. I really thought that Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper's characters had a lot of chemistry and "made" the movie. Love her even more now!!!

  18. A bittersweet pill that's a mixture of an endearing family drama and modern romance that's an absolute delight.
