But it's Friday SO I'll take it :) I usually don't work Fridays but since I had Wednesday off, I'll be in the office today.
But that's no reason to skimp out on linking up with Lauren for High Five for Friday is it?!
No, I didn't think so. I actually had trouble narrowing my list down to 5 this week...I guess that means I had a pretty good week wouldn't you say?
So, my top 5 favorite things from the week:
one. After going back and forth on getting an iPad, I decided against it. I ended up getting a Kindle Fire (after buying one then returning it, going to the Apple store and almost buying and iPad then going home empty handed to think about it...yes I'm pretty much the most indecisive person on the planet). I'm an Apple snob so this was hard for me. But I needed a device that allowed me to run Flash (I know...ew). My new study program (see #2!) requires it, though. After using the Fire for a few days, I'm really loving it. Plus I don't mind having the extra $400 in my pocket from getting that instead of an iPad ;)
two. I took the plunge and purchased my National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) study materials! This is a HUGE step and it makes the fact that I'm following my dreams so much more real. I have 6 months to study hard and take the exam :) Guys, I am SO stoked about working in the health & fitness field...thank you all so much for your encouragement!
three. Sushi. 2 of my favorite girls. Enough said. (Yes, I'm aware that I eat sushi 1-2 times per week)
four. My diploma came in the mail...no big deal! I'm officially a USF Alum...crazy!
While I was at my parents' house picking it up, my Dad wanted me to take a picture in the same spot that my Mom took my brother & my back to school pictures in grade school...good thinking, Dad!
five. 4th of July! I had so much fun on Wednesday, spending time with some of my best friends and acknowledging how blessed I am to live in America.
This is about 1/2 of us crammed into one picnic table (I'm the one on the end in the blue top, white shorts & red shoes), waiting for Adam to finish cooking the burgers...yes, I'm dating the grill master of the group ;) I packed a salad to eat so that I wouldn't have to break my clean eating streak!
We went to the mall to watch the fireworks display, but we didn't get our fill of firework fun, so we stopped by a little firework tent and stocked up. The dudes put on a fun show for us!
And the girls played with sparklers. I may or may not have said (out loud) that I felt like Harry Potter...yikes, I'm embarrassing.
YAY!! Congrats on getting your diploma in the mail! :) I have the cover they gave me but my diploma is still at home. And I'm glad you had a great 4th! I had to work but I got to see Epcot's fireworks! Which made up for everything else! :)

Hello! I just found your blog and I lovelovelove it! Thanks for all of your posts!
ReplyDeleteAshley
I wanted to get an ipad too! I was dead set on it, but the hubs suggested the Asus Prime. I was honestly afraid of an Android, but so far it is awesome and has flash! It was $500, but still better than an ipad! Even the accessories are cheaper. Win/win ;)
ReplyDeleteLol I have turned into such an apple snob, I know exactly what you mean! :) I love reading your blog and seeing your pics Jessica, you have such a cute figure, you make me want to hit the gym!
ReplyDeleteEvani
Love all the fourth of July festivities and cute red and blue shoes :) Looks like you had a great time celebrating!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to you girl!! Getting your diploma (your dad is cute making you take a picture where you guys used to take them) and getting started on your NASM certification. That's huge!!

I figgadeeels ya gooorl. It's so hard for me to even think about another option besides Apple... these Mac Books, iPhones and desktops spoil us... I honestly think that Apple is the best product of all mankind!! BUT, I'm proud that you thought about it, and sounds like it's more practical to get the kindle... which brings me to...
ReplyDeleteYIPEEEEE for taking that step and working towards your health and fitness goals. Can't wait to hear your progress... especially when you start grad school!!
CONGRATS on getting your diploma in the mail!! You have accomplished what a lot of peeps don't start or even finish AND at such a young age! You rock my socks!!
Sparklers make me feel like Harry Potter too. Cool points. Not lame points.
ReplyDeleteAnd congrats on getting your diploma AND starting you personal trainer studies! So exciting!
